A mainstay of low voltage spotlights, MR16 halogen can now be replaced by LED MR16’s, yielding and impressive 80% energy saving. LED MR16 lamps operate in the same fittings as regular 12V lamps, however they work best when they are mated with an led driver in place of the transformer.
